Conclave 2011 Important Program Information
Conclave 2011 is going to be filled with fun for everyone! Here is the most important information you need to know so that you don't miss it:
What is Conclave? Conclave is the biggest and best Scouting event of the entire year, and it's something that you don't want to miss! It's a gathering of OA members from the three lodges in Section W-1N. 300 Arrowmen will converge upon Colony High School for a weekend of fun and everything OA. Here is a sampling of some of the awesome activities that happen at Conclave:
Activities
ICE Inductions and Ceremonies Evaluations Flyer Enter your ceremonies team to be evaluated for Pre-Ordeal, Brotherhood, or both. You will receive feedback from trained evaluators on how to make your ceremony better - both in technical aspects and in communication of the message.
Teams that qualify for honors recieve honor medals and the lodge with the most teams ranked "honor teams" gets to keep our travelling trophy for a year. Please sign your team up as soon as possible. April 1st is our deadline. If you are late, don't hesitate to sign up - we may still be able to include you. Please provide two evaluators to be a part of our evaluation staff. They are required to take the evaluator training on Saturday morning.
Elangomats: New this year will be the Elangomat evaluation test. This test is designed to help you think more deeply about the job of being an Elangomat, and at the end of the weekend those who take the test will receive suggestions for further training and thought in order to better prepare them to serve as an Elangomat in their home lodges. Lodge Chiefs will also receive summaries of their Lodges' scores and suggestions for how to better train Elangomats.
Service Council Special Events Flag Ceremonies
Scouts Own religious service will be offered before your departure on Sunday. Chapter Chief Breakfast: This breakfast will offer the opportunity for Chapter Chiefs to make connections and spread ideas amongst each other to provide better programs for their chapters.
VIA Luncheon for arrowmen that will be looked to, to be future leaders of the lodges in the future. Patch Auction: By donating items to the live and silent auctions you help the section earn money that will be used to run section operations and that will go into the planning of the next conclave.
Training Conclave Training Class Schedule Earn a degree from Teaquan Wask University offered through the section education system.
