Each year at Conclave the section offers a great variety of training for adults and youth as part of Teaquan Wask. The complete list of course will be available when you register. Arrowmen who are involved in ceremonies and inductions will be particularly interested in the classes we will offer in the College of Inductions and Ceremonies. Ceremony and Induction Classes at Conclave Ceremonial classes will focus on presentation and evaluation of the same ceremonies that will be evaluated at Conclave and NOAC this year. While these classes are designed for evaluators, active ceremonialists, and ceremonialist advisers, they are open to anyone who is interested in attending. Please note that you must be a Vigil member to attend classes about the Vigil, and you must be a Brotherhood member to attend classes about the Brotherhood. Here are some of the ceremony and inductions classes we will offer: · Evaluator training · Ceremonial development and improvement · Instruction on Pre-Ordeal · Instruction on Brotherhood · Instruction on Vigil Native Culture Classes at Conclave In addition to classes focused on ceremonies and inductions, we will offer classes about aspects of Native American culture that we incorporate into our OA culture. These classes will help you learn more about the rich heritage and great traditions of the tribes in the Pacific Nortwest region. These classes will be open to anyone attending Conclave. Here are some of the cultural classes we will offer: · Button Blankets · Art · Storytelling Ceremony Evaluation at Conclave For ceremonialists, the opportunity to present the ceremonies we perform for our lodges is definitely a highlight of Conclave every year. We’re looking forward to another great year and we expect great attendance for this part of Conclave. Each lodge should plan to send their ceremonialists as well as their evaluators and advisers. This is a great chance to get feedback from evaluators who don’t see your team on a regular basis, and some of our Conclave evaluators will actually be on staff at NOAC as well. Conclave is also a perfect opportunity to meet ceremonialists from all over the section, and see how your ceremonies compare to those from other lodges. Here are some of the events we will have at Conclave: · Pre-Ordeal presentation and evaluation · Brotherhood presentation and evaluation · Vigil presentation and evaluation Need Help before Conclave? In addition to our annual Conclave, this year is special because it’s also a NOAC year. We hope all our lodges plan to send ceremonialists to NOAC. We’re ready to help if you need it.
